At McCoy Bat Co. we create quality, custom-made wood bats, at affordable prices. We make bats for the adult, high school and youth player.
McCoy bats are made with kiln dried billets from Somerset County, Maine. McCoy Bats are made from rock maple, yellow birch or ash wood.
McCoy Bat Co. also makes fungos for coaches as well as one handed training bats.

My Story
Hello my name is Rafe Ybarra and I love playing, coaching and talking baseball. This love of the game is why I started hand turning bats and McCoy Bat Co.
Playing in a wood bat league, Fresno Men’s Baseball League, I saw that there was a place for quality hand turned bats at an affordable price. I started out repairing broken bats and fiber glassing other companies’ blems. During games, teammates tried to convince me to make my own bats. At about this time, as luck would have it, I inherited my grandfather’s 50 year old Shop Smith. Once the Shop Smith was in working order – the billets were ordered, bat specs were charted and the first McCoy Bat Co. bats were being turned.
Thanks to word of mouth, teammates and local high school players, McCoy Bat Co. continues to grow – one hand turned bat at a time.
